Dream on a jade pillow critical text in English
Hongjing Lin’s artistic practice blends elements of Eastern mysticism and fantastic literature with the composite doctrines of theology, exploring multicultural perspectives and psychological states. Through subtle symbolic language and dreamlike narratives, her work investigates the boundaries and coexistence between the human and the non-human. Working primarily with oil and mixed media on canvas and wood, Lin also experiments with painting on ceramic, developing a distinctive visual language through both traditional and experimental glazing techniques.
