Renske Linders

Renske Linders (born 1995, Hague, Netherlands)

She lives and works in Paris.

Inspired by Dutch Golden Age painting, her practice explores the social roles and aesthetic expectations imposed by society through depictions of everyday objects, details, and personal belongings. Often omitting faces, she creates evocative fragments that question standards of beauty and suggest emotion rather than impose it. Combining irony and subversion, Linders reappropriates the visual language of fashion to celebrate self-staging and self-representation. Through carefully constructed compositions, she reimagines feminine symbols and daily rituals as reflections on the body, identity, and power.
